Chapter 49

Warning:- not a very good chapter, I wanted to update yesterday but except for being the same thing in other stories I wanted to change something but I think I messed up, so sorry in advance if you don't like it and there will be mistakes so pls kindly inform me so I can correct them

Ash and friends got lost in the forest when they were walking so they decided to take a break, Mew had returned to her pokeball for rest, Brock decided to make lunch for them but then Misty saw a pokemon drinking water from a stream nearby.

Misty: this pokemon is so cute, I'm going to catch it.

Ash: an Oddish? he isn't a water type you know, right?

Misty: it doesn't matter, he is cute, Misty call Staryu *throwing pokeball and Staryu appeared from it* rapid spin *it hit and Oddish looked weak just from that* use water gu- *but got interrupted*

Ash: stop Misty! *Walking to Oddish*

Misty: what is it now Ash!? *Irritated*

Ash: this Oddish is already hurt, why I didn't noticed earlier *sitting down near Oddish who looked scared at first but when Ash started to pat him gently while smiling warmly, Oddish got relaxed*

Then a whip came out of no where and hit on Ash's hand

Ash: ahhh! *Shouted because of sudden pain, as he did that, all pokeball's on his belt opened at the same time*

Lucario: master, are you alright? *Aura spheres ready in his both hands*

Greninja: what happened? *with Night slash*

Pidgeot: *saw Ash's a little red hand* who did this? *then looked at Misty and Brock and everyone else looked at them too*

Misty and Brock quickly shook there heads in no while waving their hands in front them saying "we did nothing".

Pikachu: it was someone from those bushes *pointing to bushes, spark emitting from his cheeks, not liking that someone hurt his friend*

Lucario: I'll check right now *ready to use Aura vision*

Mew: no need to do that Lucario *with a irritated expressions on her face, Lucario quickly recognised who she is even after transformation*

Lucario: as you wish lady Mew *this helped Greninja and pidgeot to understand who is she*

Mew: *walked in front of Ash with eyes glowing dark pink then a pokemon started to float from the bushes* before you die for hurting Ash, do you have anything to say? *With threatening voice*

Ash: hey Espeon, get him to me *with seriousness and Mew dropped pokemon in front of Ash and everyone surrounding him with unpleasant and curious faces but pokemon stood unfazed by this, noticing this Ash smiled* thanks Espeon.

Mew: no problem Ash *smiling now a little*

As Ash was going to move forward for pokemon, Oddish ran and stood in front of pokemon.

Oddish: please don't hurt him *with tears drops in his eyes*

Ash: *smiled warmly* don't worry, I'm not going to hurt him *Oddish moved side after looking at pokemon who nodded in agreement* so Bulbasaur, why you attacked me?

Bulbasaur: you don't have anything to do with that filthy human just get out of here *with a lot of anger* I know the likes of you and you are no different from them so don't try to act nice.

Ash's pokemon got angry at this but Ash asked them to calm down and returned them before things get worse except for Mew who denied and Ash promised earlier that she can stay out as much as she want agreed with it reluctantly but when Ash turned for Bulbasaur there was no one.

Ash: umm guys...where are they?

Brock and Misty were looking at Ash and his pokemon when they looked in the direction where Bulbasaur and Oddish were they sweatdroped.

Brock: sorry, we were looking at your pokemon that how much they care for you and...

Misty: sorry Ash, we forgot to look after them.*apologetically*

Ash: it's alright, let's go, we have get back on the road *they nodded and started to their way out*

They crossed a bridge but looked weak so Ash asked Mew to take care of it, Mew didn't let it fall until they crossed it, after that Misty and Brock fell into some traps but Ash always jumped away before falling in them instinctively, they continued to walk then saw a girl there, they walk upto her. Girl noticed them.



Girl: who are you guys? *Looking suspiciously at them*

Ash: hlo, my name is Ash Ketchum, we are pokemon trainers and we are lost here, can you help us?

Girl: oh I see, my name is Melanie, I have something to do, can you wait for a while?

They looked at each other then

Ash: if you don't mind, can we help you?

Melanie: no, I don't want to bother you.

Ash: it will be our pleasure to help you, right guys? *On which they nodded* And then we can go back early too.

Melanie: alright then follow me.

Brock: what was you doing there alone Melanie?

Melanie: I'll explain later when we reach our destination.

They walked for few minutes and reached the place.



Misty: what is this place? *The place was filled with many pokemon* and are those all pokemon all yours?

Melanie: no, here I'm just taking care of wild injured and abandoned pokemons, i set some traps in the way to stop pokemon hunters and poachers from reaching here.

Ash smiled seeing many pokemons but got sad listening about abandoned pokemons but the thing worried him is that those traps are not enough to stop poachers, he wanted to say something but then Misty noticed...

Misty: isn't that? *Everyone looked in the same direction*

Ash: yeah it's the same Oddish.

Melanie: he was abandoned by his trainer because he was weak.

Misty: *walked upto Oddish* hey Oddish *Oddish noticed her and got scared* hey sorry, I didn't mean to scare you *Oddish calmed down a little bit* I heard you were abandoned by your trainer *Oddish nodded with a sad look* I'm sorry, I attacked you earlier and hurt you *Oddish smiled and shook his head indicating he forgave her but something attacked and she fell a little far from Oddish*

Ash, Brock and Melanie ran to help her while Mew stayed behind.

Melanie: Bulbasaur, it's not good to attack someone. *Bulbasaur looked at them and walked away without saying anything*

Ash: he is also the same one, is he your pokemon?

Melanie: no, he was abandoned too after I treated him, he trained himself and got stronger to save other pokemon but now pokemons don't want to leave this place even after getting recovered, they feel safe here and I don't think they will until Bulbasaur is here, it's not I don't like them, it's just..

Ash: it's not good for them, they will never grow much like this.

Melanie: yeah, they have to go.

After that Ash, Misty and Brock helped Melanie to feed pokemon and heal some injured pokemons, Misty specifically asked that she wanted to tend Oddish.

Then three people entered there in Black suits and helmet covering their heads.

Ash: they finally reached here huh?

Others also noticed them.

Melanie: who are you guys?

Man1: hey Jeff, you said there are not any trainer.*seeing Ash, Misty and Brock*

Jeff :- quit complaining, they were not here when I checked and these are just some kids, just capture these pokemons and let's go, I don't think they are crazy to think that they can stop us.

Ash: what if we do? *Releasing Lucario who took battle stance quickly, Mew also came stood near him, unknown to them Bulbasaur was looking at Ash curiously*

Jeff: now what do you think jack? *Smirking*

Jack: I really can't complain now, coming here just for some cheap pokemon but now we can catch these rare pokemons *then released Gengar, Jeff released Bisharp* I'll handle that lucario with my Gengar, you take care of data Espeon *Jeff nodded then Jack looked at Misty and Brock* Aren't you kids going to battle us.

Misty: we will you will be able to defeat him.

Jack: oh I see, very well then, Jason get equipment ready, we are going to finish quickly.

Ash: 'cheap pokemon? Now you have crossed your line' Espeon can you move out of the way*trying to stay calm so his Aura doesn't come out*

Mew: *nodded* yeah sure I just came to have a good look of them anyway *then walked away a little*

Ash: lucario, no mercy.

Lucario: as you wish master *getting serious for battle*

Misty: Brock? This feels different.

Brock: yeah, this is the first time I'm seeing him this serious.

Jack: hey kid, are you mad or something? do you think your fighting type can beat my ghost type and you know it's going to be a 2 Vs 1 match like this.

Ash: I know and you don't have to worry my pokemon can beat you easily.

Jack: you have a big mouth kid.

Ash: really? Last time I checked it was normal *mocked them then started to check his mouth with his hand*

Jack: that's enough, Gengar shadow sneak.

Ash: *saw Gengar disappearing in shadow* on the left side dark pulse *as Lucario prepared dark pulse, Gengar appeared on the left side and he fired dark pulse which hit Gengar hard and he flew metres away because of impact* super effective, didn't expected that huh, he will not be able to battle anymore, Lucario extreme speed *Lucario disappeared and appeared just after one second but on the other side Bisharp fell down* he too can't battle anymore, do you guys have any more pokemon or not.

Jeff: Jack, I don't think others can beat him too, we should go back.

Jack: alright, we will take of this kid some other day *the three of them started to run away*

Ash: what you guys are waiting for, go and arrest them.

Misty and Brock looked at him confused.

Brock: what are you talki-

but then five men jumped out of trees in uniforms which also covering there most portion of faces and surrounded poachers then arrested them, one of them walked upto Ash.

Agent: sir Ketchum, I have orders to pass this message to you, I was thinking to give it in privacy so one notice us but it can't be helped anymore.*giving a envelope*

Ash: I'll see this later *after taking envelope*

Then Agents took poachers away with there flying type pokemons.

Ash: hey *calling the last agent, the same who delivered envelope* tell him, I don't want any agents around me for a while.

Agent: I will sir *then he left too*

Misty and Brock walked upto Ash.

Brock: hey Ash, who were those guys?

Ash: those guys are secret agents.

Misty: why were they here and especially why they were calling you sir?

Ash: that's something personal, sorry guys but I can't tell anyone about this.

Brock: I understand Ash, Big or small everyone have there secrets.

Misty: *sighed* alright, I'm also not going to force.

Ash: thanks guys *then turned to Melanie* I think we should leave now.

Melanie: alright, it was nice meeting you guys and thanks for saving these pokemons *pokemon were surrounding them now*

Ash: it's totally fine, after all it's my duty *said quietly last sentence after that bid their farewell to Melanie*

Voice: stop!

Ash turned around and found Bulbasaur there.

Ash: what it is Bulbasaur? *But he didn't said anything*

Melanie: I think he wants to go with you but he is stubborn to admit it.

Ash: you want to join my team Bulbasaur?

After a little while Bulbasaur nodded.

Ash: but why me?

Bulbasaur: I don't know, when you battling with them, I sensed something, your strength, your passion, I don't exactly know what was that *then looked at Ash* what I'm doing, it's not like you can understand what I'm saying.

Ash: *smiled at him* who knows, maybe I can *this surprised Bulbasaur but before he could say anything Ash tapped pokeball on him then he got sucked in it and got catched without resistance* welcome to the family Bulbasaur, Melanie what about you and pokemon, without Bulbasaur..

Melanie: they will leave this place, I will find something to do too.

Ash: *thought for a while* I have an idea, Melanie I know someone who need help in taking care of pokemon, what do you say?

Melanie: who is that person?

Ash: prof. Oak, they live in Pallet town.

Melanie: *started to think* I think I'll take that offer but how I will go there?

Ash: *released pidgeot* I hope you are not afraid of heights.

Melanie: no I'm not.

Ash: great, 'Mew, can you connect me to prof.'s mind?'.

Mew: you don't have to ask *then made the connection*

Ash asked if Melanie can come and prof agreed, pidgeot never been there so Ash asked Mew to help then they can teleport back to him after that they continued there journey.

Chapter 48

Please read note in the end, it's been a while so I'm rusty now

Misty: I accept *Misty knowing the situation called her strongest she had, Starmie, Giselle seeing Starmie grabbed a pokeball from the shelf where were some others too in the training room and a Golem came out of it which surprised Brock because they are weak against water types*

Battle started and Golem defeated Starmie with just a rollout attack taking a water gun attack head on which didn't effected him a little.

Giselle: see Joe, types doesn't matter in a pokemon battle, you just need to train your pokemon to higher level and then you can win easily.

Misty: *returned Starmie with irritated expressions* I don't think so princess and I know someone who can prove you wrong *looking at Ash* right Ash?

Ash: Beautiful as well as smart, honestly... I didn't expected that *with a warm smile*

Misty: *shocked* What!?, What are you saying Ash!?. *Even Brock was shocked*

Giselle: *blushed a little seeing his smile* really? Thanks *boys who were with her didn't liked it but because of Mew being there, didn't said anything*

Ash: nevermind, I just said what was on my mind.

Misty: but he never said something like that to me, I'm not beautiful at all, uhhhh...why do I even care? *Getting irritated more*

Ash: but there is something wrong about what you said.*this attracted everyone's attention*

Giselle: and what is it?

Ash: level of pokemon, they also doesn't matter much, a bond between trainer and pokemon have to be strong, which will help them to achieve great strength and by only mutual hard training they can achieve it.

Giselle: really? And I thought you were smarter than others.*getting arrogant again*

Ash: let me prove it to you, I'll use my Pikachu, he didn't battled much until now, just few battles so his level isn't much, it's the best way to prove our point.

Giselle: I accept.

They stood on their places in the training battle field and Ash asked Pikachu to battle who jumped in the field instantly and Giselle called a Cubone.

Giselle: aren't you going to say that he is small or looks weak or are you scared that you are at a type disadvantage?

Ash: I'm not scared, it's because I know a pokemon's strength can't be measured from his appearance.

Giselle: I must say umm...

Ash: Ash..Ash Ketchum.

Giselle: ok Ash, I must say I'm impressed with your knowledge.

Ash: thanks, I'm honoured to listen this by a top student but let's finish this battle quickly.

Giselle: yeah sure.

Misty: hey Brock, did he just said finish it quickly?

Brock: yeah, he did.

Giselle: Cubone use bone club.

Ash: Dodge and wait for 3 seconds then jump on his head after that jump in the air quickly.

Pikachu believing in Ash, easily dodged it and after waiting for 3 seconds jumped on Cubone's, Giselle being confused by this didn't gave any command.

As Pikachu jumped in the air bone club returned and made direct contact with Cubone's head giving significant amount of damage because catching him off guard.

Giselle: what!? *With shock*

Ash: Pikachu, iron tail....on the ground. *Pikachu smashed ground hard and with just the impact of it Cubone flew away and started to cry*

Giselle: that iron tail, it could have defeated Cubone with one hit *sitting near Cubone and taking him in her arms*

Ash: yeah it can but then you would have thought I won because of type advantage attack but I think you have realized what I want to tell you by that little trick, after all you are a top student.

Giselle: yeah I did, books can't teach you everything.

Ash: that's right, there are things which you can discover by only yourself, pokemon can learn moves they usually don't, like electric types can learn steel types, water types can learn electric types and there are more so they can overcome there weaknesses, so the bottom line is there are a lot of things to learn but if you will depend only on books then they will be the boundaries of your knowledge and you will never be able to learn something new *Everyone looked at Ash in amazement*

After that Joe decided to start his own journey and Ash, Misty and Brock got ready to leave then bid there farewell to Joe and Giselle after that they started to leave but..

Giselle: hey Ash!

Ash: *turned around* yeah?

Giselle: you are going to compete in indigo league, right?

Ash: yeah I am, why do you asked?

Giselle: it's just... I'll be there to cheer you on.

Ash: really? Thanks Giselle, but it will be fine for you to come there?

Giselle: yeah it will *then moved forward and kissed his cheek which shocked everyone* see you soon then Ash.

Ash: * blushing* y-yeah s-sure *mumbled on which Giselle giggled but...*

Misty: come on Ash let's go *irritated*

Ash: *nodded* yeah sure *then they left*

Sorry guys for late chapter, I was going to complete it in 2 hours but some dialogues took their time to come in mind.

Chapter 47

Ash with Misty and Brock bid there farewell to AJ in the morning and parted ways for their journeys but when they were walking, a thick fog surrounded them which made it hard for them to move forward so they decided to wait for it to fade away then Brock suggested to make tea from the ingredients he bought from the Cerulean city, Ash was asked to bring some woods for fire on which Ash agreed and Misty decided to help Brock with ingredients.

Ash walked into the forest near path

Ash: it is very thick fog, what do you think Pikachu?

Pikachu: yeah it is, can't you do something about it?

Ash: *sweatdroped* no because I never trained my phychic powers *laughed nervously then smiled widely* but I think Mew can do it *then released her but what appeared in front of them was unexpected*



Mew yawned then saw their reactions and giggled

Mew: you didn't liked it? *turning around a little bit*

Ash: no it's just... I wasn't expecting you to transform like that.

Mew: I'm a phychic type and Espeon evolves from Eevee with phychic type so I thought it will be better if I'll transform into one, now I can use my phychic powers without any suspiciousness.

Ash: you are right Mew, now can you do something for me?

Mew: so you always call me to do something huh? All this time I was getting bored in that pokeball, when you released me I thought you are going to play with me, you are such a meanie *then pouted and looked away*

Ash: hey sorry Mew, I'll make sure this never happen again *scratching behind his head* how about this, you can stay out of pokeball all the time you want, okay?.

Mew: that will work *nodding with satisfaction* now what do you want me to do?

Ash: can you remove this fog? it's blocking our way.

Mew: yeah sure and here we go *her eyes glowed pink for few seconds then all the fog got lifted from there*

As fog disappeared from there a big building appeared nearby, Ash walked to have a look and saw four boys surrounding another boy and asking him about pidgey while he is running on the treadmill when he gave the wrong answer they pushed him off the treadmill, seeing this Ash walked upto them with Mew who stay behind him.

Ash: hey stop that!

They looked at him curiously.

Boy1: what do you want? *Not nicely at all*

Ash: stop treating him like that *pointing to boy who was on treadmill*

Boy2: we are just helping him *as rude as other was*

Ash: help? Like that?

Boy3: do you have a problem with that, we are students of pokemon tech, only best can be here so we are making him one.

Ash: I don't think it's a way to help someone, you better stop it *calmly*.

Boy4: like you can understand, come on guys let's go, we don't have to waste our time on such losers.

Mew: *getting in front of Ash with annoyed expressions with eyes glowing dark purple* Ash, want me to teach them a lesson or two? *Seeing Mew boys backed away with fear*

Ash: Espeon no need to d- *got interrupted by familiar voice*

Misty: no Ash! You should teach them some manners *also annoyed come behind him with Brock*

Ash: what you guys are doing here?

Brock: we were waiting for you when you didn't returned, we thought to look for you then heard some voices which lead us here.

Misty: *walking upto Ash* you don't have to be kind all the time, they insulted you Ash, you must do something.

Ash: *sweatdroped* alright alright Misty *then turned to Mew* ' but I don't know what to do...oh yeah! ' Espeon you can play with them all you want *in return Mew looked back at him and smirked deviously*

Mew: I will *then teleported away with boys*

Ash: I hope I didn't made a mistake *sweatdroped again*

Misty: where are they gone? *Pointing to the spot where four boys were*

Ash: don't worry about them, Espeon isn't going to hurt them...I hope *said last word quietly then turned to boy who was getting bullied*

Brock invited them for tea and they joined him then boy introduced himself as Joe and told them about his pokemon tech which is a boarding school and how hard to graduate from there and after graduation can take part in pokemon league directly.

Then Espeon teleported back near Ash.

Ash: are you done Espeon?

Mew: yeah I'm *nodding*

Ash: where are the boys?

Mew: I just teleported them in that building from before *pointing in the school's direction*

They asked Joe for a trip of his school on which he agreed instantly, he also told them he is still a novice but skilled equal to trainer who have two badges.He showed them sort of machine that showed them that he could easily beat the water pokemon of Cerulean Gym with his pokemon weepinbell. This made Misty cross.

Misty: Look here you, this machine is nothing compared to real pokemon battles. As a gym leader of Cerulean Gym I challenge you to a real battle *Joe accepted*

In a training room Misty and Joe called Starmie and Weepinbell respectively for battle but Misty defeated him with just a tackle attack.

Joe: *shocked* No way! how did my grass type lose to your water type?.

Then a voice came
Voice: "Because Starmie has been trained more than your Weepinbell *It was a beautiful girl with long hair and the four boys from before were with her, who saw Espeon and backed away a little* "It's true that grass beats water, but it depends on the experience of your pokemon".

"Who are you?" asked Misty.

"I am Giselle," the girl said "the top student of Pokemon Tech.And I wish to battle you now".

Chapter 46

Ash and friends were going to Vermilion city for Ash's next badge but they met a trainer who want to have a battle with Ash, Ash defeated his Rattata easily with Pikachu, trainer praised his skills and told him to challenge A.J. A savage trainer who own his own gym, Ash and friends decided to go there.

Ash: it's looks nice.

Brock: yeah even it's not official but still.

A voice came : who goes there? *A boy walked upto them with a sandshrew*



Ash: hii, my name is Ash and these are my friends Misty and Brock and I guess you are A.J. *Walking upto him* I came here to have a battle with you.

A.J. : yeah that's me *pointing to himself* so you came to be my 100th win huh *pointing to his gym sign which has written 99 wins on it*

Ash: *Ash looked at it and smiled* we will see that.

A.J. : at least you are not too overconfident like others and started to brag that how you will beat me. *Smiling a little*

Ash: thanks, can we do our battle now?

A.J. : yeah let's go.

They walked to battle field which was in the centre of gym, Ash and AJ walked to the respective sides on the field.

Misty: hey Ash, you don't need it but still.. good luck *smiling*

Ash: *looked at her and smiled* thanks Misty.

Aj: you can talk to your girlfriend later, focus on battle right now.

Ash and Misty blushed and looked at each then looked away from each other quickly.

Ash: we are not a couple *said laughing nervously*

AJ : whatever let's get over with this battle quickly, sandshrew you know what to do *sandshrew nodded and walked in the field*

Ash: Pikachu *said without looking away from field , Pikachu without thinking twice jumped from his shoulder in the field*

A.J.: you look like a beginner trainer.

Ash: yeah I'm, is there a problem?

A.J. : nah it's just.. not a experienced trainer was going to use a electric type against a ground type, at least not a little Pikachu *with overconfidence at which Pikachu looked offended*

****In the side of battle field****

Brock: this is the same thing happened in my gym but I learned my lesson, never underestimate anyone.

Misty: at least not Ash *smiling*.

Brock: *looked at her and smiled* can't deny that.

****Back to the battle field****

Ash: Pikachu calm down, we will teach him that a Pikachu can be strong too *Pikachu nodded instantly and took position for battle*



A.J. : like it's going to happen, Sandshrew rollout.



Sandshrew came to Pikachu with high speed of rollout.

Ash: Pikachu dogde it *Pikachu jumped in the side dogding the attack barely* he is fast *with seriousness*

A.J. : let's see for how long you can survive this, continuous rollouts *sandshrew started to use rollout over and over again, Pikachu dogded them all but it was getting hard after every attempt* this is going to be over soon and I will have my 100th win.

Ash: Pikachu extreme speed then iron tail and finish this battle *Pikachu obeyed quickly and disappeared from his spot*

****In the side of battle field****

Brock: and this is the end *smiling*

Misty: yeah, when he use finish word, battles don't last long than few seconds *also smiling*

****Back to battle field****

AJ : he is fast but he can't follow us underground, Sandshrew use dig quickly *Sandshrew quickly dug a hole and went into it hiding from Pikachu completely*

Ash: nothing can save you now, Pikachu use that velocity and jump into air then use iron tail on ground.

A J: what? *Surprised and confused*

Pikachu landed a hard strike on ground and created a mini earthquake, Sandshrew flown out of ground because of impact with some rubbles, when he landed on ground, he had swirls in his eyes.

Ash: looks like I won *Pikachu came upto him then jumped on his shoulder and started to run his cheeks with his own* hey Pikachu that tickles *laughing*

AJ : that was totally a surprise for me *then walked upto Ash* you are really a great trainer, sorry for the things I said to you and your Pikachu.

Ash: it's alright, right Pikachu? *Pikachu nodded happily*

AJ: I'm going to heal my Sandshrew, wanna come in the tent? I have my other pokemon there.

Ash looked at Misty and Brock who just shrugged.

Ash: yeah sure.

They walked in the tent where they saw another Sandshrew jumping in pool and Rattatas jumping through a hoops of fire and Beedrill with Butterfree lifting heavy weights.

Ash: wow they are hard working.

AJ: you think so, generally people say it's harsh.

Ash: hey, I know great things can be achieved by only hard work *said smiling towards AJ* I went through that but now I am on my journey to learn more.

AJ: thanks Ash, I was going to start my own journey after my 100th win but seeing you now I changed my mind.

Ash: what? You should go on your journey or I'm going to feel bad because of it, I don't want to be the reason because of which you wasn't able to travel.

AJ: don't worry Ash *waving his hands in front of him* I want to say I'm not going to wait for my 100th win, tomorrow morning I'm leaving this place.

Ash: *smiled hearing it* that will be great *then remembered it's getting late* hey it's getting late, can we stay here for the night?

AJ: yeah sure I have plenty of space but.. do you guys have your sleeping bags?

Ash: yeah we have.

Brock: alright then I am going to start making dinner *walking upto them*

Misty: I'll help you.

Brock: thanks Misty.

They left them to prepare dinner.

AJ: she is sweet and kind, are you sure she isn't your girlfriend?

Ash: yeah I am.

AJ: so i can ask her to go out with me, right?

Ash: *started to think* uhh....

Thanks for bearing with me guys, I updated this because I noticed some impressive ranking in my stories, they get changed easily so I thought celebrate it until it last long and point out mistakes if there are any, it will be big help, again I don't have much time these days so delays will happen,

Chapter 45

Misty and Ash moved to there respective sides of battle field.

Ash:so how many pokemon we can use?

Misty: Two pokemons, which pokemon are you going to use? *Expecting Pikachu Will be the first one*

Ash looked in the direction of Pikachu who got the signal and ran away to the bench near the battle field, seeing this Misty was a little confused and hoping that she don't have to fight with Pikachu.

Ash: I think Pikachu don't want to battle you *said smiling in the direction of Misty*.

Misty: thank you Pikachu! you are my best friend *shouted to Pikachu smiling who smiled back*

Ash: I think this guy will feel good here *expanding a pokeball then throw it, all sister looked at the pokemon dreamily*

Daisy: isn't he looks cool?

Violet: yeah he is.

Lily: I want one too.

Daisy/Violet: same here *they looked at each other and started to giggle*

Ash: he is from Kalos if you want to have one*they looked at him and nodded*

Misty: I wasn't expecting him at all, he may be of same type but can't expect it to be easy *getting serious*

Ash: yeah it isn't going to *smiling confidently*.

Misty: *throwing a pokeball* Staryu come on out.



Ash: ' it's going to be quick ' Greninja night slash attack, finish this quickly *Greninja jumped towards Staryu to slash him*

Misty: not so fast, Staryu underwater *Staryu quickly jumped in pool and dodged the attack*

Ash: nice call Misty but how long can you hide from us.

Misty: who said I'm going to hide, Staryu swift attack *Staryu jumped out of water behind Greninja and launched his attack*



Ash: like we will fall for that, Greninja double team then Aerial ace and finish this *swift attack hit one of copies and before Staryu can land he got a hard hit of Aerial ace throwing him another side of pool in the wall*

****In the stands****

Daisy: I don't think she have a chance now.

Violet: yeah, he is too strong for her.

Lily: And his Greninja too, now I really want one.

*****Back to field****

Misty: *returned Staryu* thanks Staryu *said to his pokeball then turned to Ash* I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I think I never had a chance.

Ash: you are quite skilled Misty, you just need to train more to get stronger.

Misty: thanks Ash * smiled with little blush* now let's finish this match *throwing another pokeball* Starmie let's do our best.

Ash: Starmie..part phychic type huh, it will be over before it's going to start, Greninja night slash.

Misty: no it's not, Starmie rapid spin * Starmie started to spin at high speed then clashed with Greninja's night slash creating big splash of water which created fog and got thrown back*

Ash: I don't think so *smiling victoriously*

Misty: you will see, Starmie another rapid spin *Starmie came out of fog and hit Greninja in the chest hard* how's that huh *teased*

Ash: I have to say, I didn't expected that at all.

****In the stands****

Daisy: wow she is doing really quite well.

Violet: yeah, I think we underestimated her, we shouldn't had behaved badly with her.

Lily: I think we should apologize to her after this, what do you guys say? *They both look at her and nodded*

****Back to field****

Ash: sorry Misty, I'm enjoying this battle but it has to be end.

Misty: *with little nervousness* like I will let you win easily, Starmie rapid spin quickly *Starmie quickly did as said*

Ash: not going to work again, Greninja run around 180° and then night slash *Greninja disappeared from his spot and slashed Starmie from behind who fell in the water*

After a little while Starmie surfaced on water with his jewel blinking means he don't have energy to fight further.

Misty: you did amazing Starmie, I'm proud of you *while returning him*

Greninja jumped by side of Ash

Ash: you did great Greninja *then they gave high five to each other*

Greninja: thanks sensei *smiling a little then Ash returned him*

Ash walked up to Misty

Ash: you did amazing too Misty, that rapid spin was unexpected for me *smiling warmly*

Misty: thanks Ash *blushing a little* you are too strong for me right now but someday I will beat you.

Ash: I will wait for that.

Then three sisters walked up to them

Daisy: here Ash...have it, you earned it now *giving the badge to him*

Ash: thanks *taking it*

Pikachu jumped on his shoulder quickly.

Ash: hey buddy, I got two badges now *showing him badges, Pikachu nodded happily smiling seeing them*

Daisy: hey Ash, can we talk to Misty for a while in privacy?

Ash: huh? *He looked at Misty who nodded* yeah sure *then started to walk towards benches* you did a great job too Pikachu *turning to Pikachu*

Pikachu: oh it was nothing *rubbing his head at which Ash laughed, Pikachu looked at him confused* you are acting like me now.

Pikachu: well they say like trainer like pokemon.

Ash: yeah I think so *still laughing a little, Pikachu coping him*

****meanwhile with sisters****

Misty: what do you want now if you to insult me more that I'm not a good trainer or how you are beautiful and I'm not then go on, I don't care at all *looking away from them*

Daisy: No... actually we want to say sorry for what we have done to you.

Misty: huh? *Looked at them confused*

Violet: yeah, I'm sorry Misty *with guilt in her voice*

Lily: me too *with same feeling*

Misty looked at them blankly then started to smile.

Misty: it's ok, I forgave you *smiling at them*

Daisy: really? That easily.

Misty: yeah, we are sisters after all, we are sisters.

Violet: aww, come here little sis *hugging her, Daisy followed her*

Lily: hey I want to join too *hugging them all*

****After there catch up****

Daisy: so you are going to leave again?

Misty: yeah I want to complete my journey.

Violet: is that all or you want to stay close with someone? *Smirking mischievously*

Misty: what? No! it's nothing like that.

Lily: like I will believe that, I noticed you blushing whenever he praised you *teasingly*

Misty: IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT! *shouted embarrassingly*

Lily: then why are you getting embarrassed for nothing.

Misty: *giving her a glare* I told you it's nothing like that.

Daisy: listen Misty, he looks like a great guy, if you like him, don't let him go, alright. *Said seriously*

Misty looked at them bewildered

Misty: I'm leaving bye *said hurriedly and walked to Ash who noticed her*

Ash: are you done Misty? * Smiling*

Misty looked at him stopped for a while.

Misty: 'do I like him? He looks cu.. whahh, what are you thinking Misty, stupid stupid'

Ash:umm Misty *getting her out of her thoughts*

Misty: huh? *Came out of her trance of thoughts and blushed a little because of embarrassment* oh yeah we are done, let's go *then looked around* where is Brock?

Ash: he said he was going to buy supplies if you want, we can look for him in the mart.

Misty: ok, let's go.

Sisters: hey Ash! take a good care of our sister for us please *shouted*

Ash: yeah I will. *Misty blushed at this, sisters laughed noticing this*

They exit the gym and saw crying Brock coming in there direction with two bags in his both hands.

Ash: hey Brock, what's wrong?

Brock noticed them

Brock: oh hey Ash, it's nothing, I just got rejected again by a beautiful lady in the mart.

They sweatdroped at this.

Brock: how was your match?

Ash: I won. you got the supplies?

Brock: I knew you will win and about supplies, I got them and I took special care to buy ingredients for your pokemon seeing there strength, that how much protien, iron and carbohydrates they need.

Ash: wow thanks Brock, can we continue our journey?

Brock: yeah sure we can, we still have half day.

Ash: alright then let's go *excitedly started to run*

Misty: wait for us Ash *both running after him*.

Chapter 44

Clefairy wasn't happy at all that she wasn't able to evolve so Ash encouraged her.

Ash: don't worry Clefairy, next you will surely be able to evolve.

Clefairy looked at him with sad expressions.

Clefairy: really? *With hope*

Ash: yeah, I'm sure *Clefairy smiled at this a little, everyone with Ash also smiled*

Clefairy: thank you prince*bowing her head a little*

Ash: no need do that *with heart warming smile, Clefairy also smiled whole heartedly at this*

They stayed there for the night then got ready to leave in the next morning.

Ash: alright guys let's go *Misty and Brock nodded but..* aren't you coming Seymour? *Looking in his direction*

Seymour: no, I'm staying here, this is what I was waiting for so long, I'm going to research more on moon stone and Clefairies.

Ash: alright then, let's go guys *they were about to leave when Ash heard a voice calling to him*

Clefairy: prince? *The one who was with them*

Ash: what is it Clefairy?

Clefairy: umm...c-can i-i ... can I... *Isn't able to complete her sentence*

Ash: if you want to *knowing what she want to say, asked smiling*

Clefairy: really? *Surprised*

Ash: yeah sure, you can *this brought a big smile on her face* but......*this tensed her* you will have to train along my pokemon which isn't going to be a little easy, not a little bit. *Clefairy went into deep thought for a while then looked at him with determination in her eyes*

Clefairy: I accept it.

Ash: alright then, I already have six pokemon with me, after I will capture you, you will be sent to prof. Oak who will take care of my other pokemon too, I will send the pokemon who is going to train you there soon there for your training so you can match my other pokemon at least a little, okay? *Clefairy nodded instantly without hesitation*

Ash: then let's do this *he walked upto Clefairy then tapped pokeball on her head a little, capturing her instantly without resistance then pokeball disappeared from his hand, they said their byes to everyone then left*

Brock: hey Ash?

Ash: what is it Brock?

Brock: back there... it's looks like you were able to understand Clefairy perfectly.

Ash: I have my ways Brock. *said Without hesitation plainly, Brock understanding the situation didn't asked further*

They walked to the Cerulean city after that

Ash: hey Misty, it looks like a nice city, why were you saying it isn't one *turning to her but there wasn't anyone anymore*

Ash: where she gone?*turning to Brock*

Brock: I don't know *Also confused*

Ash activated his Aura to sense Misty's and found her nearby.

Ash: she will be fine, we will find her later, let's go to gym for my next badge.

Brock: I was thinking to do some shopping, we are running out of supplies, I'll meet you there after a little while, how is that?.

Ash: alright, I will go to pokemon center first too and send my pokemon to prof. Oak for Clefairie's training *Brock nodded and they went their own ways*

Ash sent pokemon to prof Oak then after a check-up of all of his pokemon he started to find his way to Gym.

Ash walked in the Gym but he saw a show going on there by three girls and stopped there to watch it which he found a little interesting after that he entered the Gym and noticed the same girls who were performing in the show.



Ash: hello *getting their attention* can you tell where I can find the Gym leader?

Blonde hair girl: we are the Gym leaders, who are you and what do you want from us? if it's photograph or autograph then sorry we don't do that *with attitude*

Ash: I'm Ash Ketchum and I don't want those, I want to have a gym battle for the badge.

At this they looked at each with bewildered expressions.

Indigo hair girl: sorry for the misunderstanding by Daisy...... as for your Gym battle we can't do that but you can have the Gym badge *turned to pink hair girl*  Lily.

Lily: *nodded and turned to nearby swimming pool* Seel! *Then a seel came out of it and opened his mouth which is containing a gym badge*



Lily took it and gave it to indigo hair girl.

Lily: here Voilet.

Violet: thanks Lily *taking it from her then moved it for Ash to take it* you can have it.

Ash looked at them confused taking it in his hand.
Ash: but I want to have a battle or it's going to have no meaning, I want to earn it not just take it *extending his hand to give it back*

Daisy: no, you can have it, you don't have to worry about anything and we can't have a battle with you because our pokemons are in pokemon center right now because three trainers from pallet town defeated them so we don't have any pokemon for battle except for this newly caught seel who still needed to be train.

Violet: yeah and remember the last one with spiky mahogany hair, he was a lot stronger than other two.

Ash smiled hearing his childhood friends praise but....

Ash: no I'm not taking it *placing it on nearby bench then turned around* I will come back another day for it.

"You don't have to" came a familiar feminine voice to everyone, Ash turned to voice.

"Misty?" Everyone said then looked at each other with Confusion.

Ash: what do you mean, I don't have to? *First to ask*

Misty: I liked what you did Ash, for you I'll take back my Gym leader position for now so you can have a chance to earn your badge *smiling*

Ash smiled understanding the situation.

Ash: alright then let's do this *excitedly*

Daisy walked upto Misty, other two sisters followed.
Daisy: Hlo little sister, I'm surprised to see you here, you said you are never going to return until you become a great trainer, now you returned specially for him, is he your boyfriend? *Whispered Teasingly*

Misty blushed at this
Misty: what!?

Violet: *giggling* he is cute, I don't mind if he is your boyfriend.

Lily: yeah, I didn't knew you had that much good taste Mist *teased her further*

Meanwhile....

Ash: hey Pikachu, can you show it like you don't want to have a battle with Misty because the field is in swimming pool.... like this she is not going to have a chance to battle and I can't show it straight away, I don't want her to think, I'm looking down to her.

Pikachu: yeah sure, I understand.

Back to others

Misty: no he is not my boyfriend! *Shouted then quickly looked in the direction of Ash who just finished his conversation with Pikachu* thank Arceus * sighed with relief* he didn't heard *then thought about the battle, with Pikachu she isn't going to have much chance to win in field made of water with water type pokemons*.

Chapter 43

Mew teleported Ash to.......... back to Serena's house in the guest room where Ash was staying for the night.

Ash: why we are here Mew? *Confused about it*

Mew: aren't you forgetting someone? *Pointing to the sleeping rodent* (wow no one noticed it in previous chapter, I'm surprised a little)

Ash sweatdroped at this
Ash: oh yeah *laughed nervously then awaked Pikachu who looked at Ash curiously that why he awaked him*

Ash: we are leaving buddy, let's go *extending his arm, Pikachu used it to get on Ash's shoulder then they teleported again before Serena came, without let knowing that he was here*

In Kanto, Pewter city, in the morning, next day

Misty is walking outside from her room to the lobby of pokemon center and seeing who is in front of her, surprised her.

Misty walked to the Ash who is having his breakfast with his pokemon.

Misty: hey good morning Ash * she greeted him smiling, Ash looked at her and smiled*

Ash: good morning Misty, how are you doing?

Misty: I'm doing fine, don't take me wrong but how you returned so early, you said it will take a while to return *sitting with him*

Ash: the thing is, the work got completed pretty fast than I expected.

Misty: I see, so what are you going to do now?

Ash: continue my journey, I was just going to inform Brock about it, is he ready to leave?

Misty: yeah, he is just waiting for you to return.

Ash: well let's go then.

Misty: I still have my breakfast to do so how about you inform him while I'll have my breakfast.

Ash: alright *said smiling then left*

They gathered in the pokemon center and started to travel.

Misty: so where are we going?

Brock: currently we are heading to Mt. Moon and after that we will go to Cerulean city.

Misty: Cerulean city? *asked nervously* why we have to go there? there are other cities which are beautiful and have more interesting things, unlike boring Cerulean city.

Brock: because it have a gym for Ash to challenge and I have heard about the sensational sisters who run it, I want to meet *with dreamy look on his face but Misty didn't liked it at all and sighed heavily*

Misty: I think I don't have another choice then *muttered to herself*

Ash: did you said something? *Asked her*

Misty: nothing, nothing at all *said hurriedly waving her arms*

Ash: are you sure? Your face is telling otherwise.

Misty: yeah I'm sure *said sternly said suddenly*

Ash: oh ok *sweatdroped*

They walked to the Mt. Moon and got stopped at the entrance by a man in lab coat.



Man: hey what are you doing here?

Ash: *looked at him and checked his Aura which is positive* well we are pokemon trainers, we are going to Cerulean city so we have to go through the Mt. Moon.

Misty: I don't want to *thought to herself*

Man: I see, sorry for stopping you, by the way I'm Seymour. *Extending his hand*

Ash: it's nice to meet to Seymour shaking his hand* but can you tell us what are you doing here? If you don't mind.

Seymour: I don't, I'm researching about moon stone and the pokemon who are protecting it. *This took everyone's attention*

Brock: moon stone? What is it and who are these pokemon who are protecting it?

Seymour: I still don't know much about it but I think it came from space like the pokemon who protect it which are Clefairies, I'm trying to get to it by following these pokemons so I go to into space with them but everytime I do, they disappear somehow but I'm not going to give up.

Everyone sweatdroped at this.

Ash knew about it but didn't said anything about it.
Ash: hey we are going to travel through it maybe we will be able to find it, want to join us?

Seymour: yeah sure.

They looked around a while then Ash found a Clefairy who were jumping around happily.

Ash: hey look there is one *pointing to Clefairy*

Seymour: ahh, you shouldn't have said it that loud, now it will run away *he looked in the direction of Clefairy but to his surprise Clefairy's eyes were focused on Ash*

Clefairy walked upto Ash slowly which surprised everyone.

Clefairy: those eyes, that hair and positive energy surrounding him *murmured with a feminine voice* are you by any chance..... Ash?

Ash: yeah I am, how do you know about me? *Telepathy*

Clefairy: it's really you *jumped happily on him* what elder told us about you is everything true. *Sounding happy*

Ash: elder?.

Clefairy: oh yeah, you were a kid that time like me, we are holding a ceremony today, will you please join us? Elder will be so much happy to see you again.

Ash: sorry, but I just can't leave them like that.

Clefairy: then bring them with you *smiling widely*

Ash: are you sure it will be fine?

Clefairy: yeah it will be fine.

Brock: Ash what is going on, Clefairy is shouting at you for a while now.

Ash: I don't know, maybe she wanted us to follow her *said nervously*

Everyone looked in the direction of Clefairy who nodded furiously with excitement.

They followed Clefairy until close evening who took them to a hidden part of Mt. Moon, another side of it in a different cave where they found a big stone placed in the center and Clefairy surrounding it.

Seymour: look it's moon stone *excitedly shouted pointing to it, attracting every Clefairy's attention to them*

Then a bigger Clefairy than others walked upto them.
B. Clefairy: why you brought outsiders here? *Asked angirly with feminine voice to Clefairy who is with Ash and friends*

Clefairy: Elder just look who is with them *pointing to Ash*

Elder Clefairy: *looked at Ash for a while then her eyes widened in realization* it can't be *then she bowed her, every Clefairy following suit* welcome prince, it's an honour to meet you again.

Ash: hey stop doing that, they are going to be suspicious (telepathy in italic everytime)

They stopped doing it circled around and others.
Elder Clefairy: are you here to join us on our ceremony?

Ash just nodded which everyone didn't noticed because they are looking at Clefairies curiously.

Misty: what's going on here *little worried*

Brock: I think they are welcoming us *guessed*

Seymour: yeah it looks like that *adjusting his glasses*

Clefairy took Ash's hand and dragged him to a stone which is perfect for someone to sit on it, Ash sat on it and then then Clefairy placed a stone she was gelding all this time along with other Clefairies then started to dance around it when moon started to shine brightly, it's rays got deflected through moon stone and landed some of them which resulted them to evolve into Clefable but the Clefairy who was Ash wasn't able to evolve and looked sad.
